About this experience
This safari takes you from Nairobi into the wild northern frontier of Kenya which is mostly barren but very scenic. You will get to visit some adventurous places on the way as well as get an opportunity to meet the local tribes such as the El Molo, Borana, Rendille and Turkana. You will be in the company of an experienced tour guide driver and in a private 4×4 safari land cruiser.

| The Itinerary Day 1: Nairobi –SamburuPick up at the airport then proceed to Samburu arriving in time for lunch. Accommodation is in our semi-permanent campsite, beautifully set under a canopy of trees or we may pitch tents on the edge of Ewaso Nyiro River (meaning Brown in Samburu). Cold showers are available which are amazingly refreshing in the hot, dusty climate. Later in the afternoon proceed for game drives at Samburu national reserve popularly known for the unique gravy zebras, Overnight at Samburu.Day 2: Samburu – MarsabitHave breakfast then depart to Marsabit town for a 1 night stop over, get there in time for lunch, check in at a preferred hotel. Later in the afternoon visit the wonderful views of Galgado crater and Golf Crater. Dinner and overnight at the hotelDay 3: Marsabit – North HorrAfter breakfast drive north through Chalbi desert and get to enjoy the amazing Sand dunes, camels and desert drives. You will have stopovers for photos in the desert and get to see the oasis. Arrive at North horr in time for Lunch, check in then later in the afternoon interact with the local Gabra people or enjoy a good swim at a local swimming pool. Dinner and overnight at North HorrDay 4: North Horr – Sibiloi national parkAfter breakfast, continue northwards to Sibiloi National park. Arrive in time for Lunch, check in at KWS accommodations, later proceed to the park for game.Located on the wild and rugged shores of Lake Turkana – the cradle of mankind – Sibiloi is home to important archaeological sites including Koobi Fora where the fossil remains have contributed more to the understanding of human evolution than any other site in the continent. Dinner and overnight at Sibiloi.Day 5: Sibiloi national park – LoiyangalaniAfter breakfast head to Loiyangalani town home for the Elmoro tribe. Arrive in time for lunch, check in then later in the afternoon head to the Museum. Dinner and overnight at LoiyangalaniDay 6: LoiyangalaniEnjoy breakfast at leisure, afterwards visit Elmoro village and get to learn about their culture at an extra fee. In the evening, take walk to see the rock paint Turkana people. Overnight at Loiyangalani Day 7: Loiyangalani- MaralalAfter breakfast depart for Maralal town via South horr, Baragoi and Suyani. There will be stop overs for photos of the wonderful valleys and views. Arrive Maralal in time for lunch, have lunch and check in then afternoon at leisure. Overnight MaralalDay8: Maralal – NairobiAfter breakfast, check out and head to Nairobi via Nyahururu town, stop over at Thompson falls for photos and the views. Later proceed to Nairobi drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley arriving in Nairobi in the evening.
