About this experience
Masai Mara is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. Together with Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, it forms Africa’s most diverse, incredible and most spectacular eco-systems and the World’s top safari big game viewing eco-system. Lake Nakuru National Park is a beautiful wildlife haven on the floor of the Great Rift valley surrounded by wooden and bushy grassland. Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley lakes at an elevation of 1,754m above sea level. The lake attracts a million flamingos on its shores. At Naivasha lies Hell’s Gate National Park, South of Lake Naivasha. It is named after a narrow break in the cliffs, once a tributary of a pre-historic lake that fed early humans in the Rift Valley. It is known for wildlife and beautiful scenery, towers & gorge.

THE ITINERARY
DAY 1: NAIROBI TO MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Your safari will begin with a pickup from your hotel or airport or pick up point in Nairobi. Your day will begin at about 7:30 am depending on your pick-up location. Heading out towards the day’s destination, the drive to Masai Mara will be covered in about 6 hours. Along the way, you will have a small stop-over at the viewpoint to see the great depression of the Rift Valley. You will reach Masai Mara National Reserve by noon, just in time for lunch at the lodge. You will then have an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2: EXPLORE MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
After an early breakfast, with a picnic lunch, you will spend a full day exploring this unique park in search of animals. Among the animals, you can look forward to seeing the Masai giraffe, lion, cheetah, leopard, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, Thompson’s gazelles, Grant’s gazelles, impalas, topis, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, hyenas, dik-diks, klipspringers, waterbucks, bushbucks, Coke’s hartebeests, black rhinos, elands, baboons, foxes and jackals. You’ll also see numerous bird species including ostrich, cormorants, grebes, storks, falcons, bastards, secretary birds, among others. Later in the evening head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Early morning game drive in Mara to track the nocturnal predators during their morning hunting spree to get their meals before going to hide from the sun. Morning game safari is thrilling and on a lucky day you will be able to witness lions killing or mating. Return to the camp for breakfast, then drive to Nakuru. You will arrive at Nakuru in time for lunch, check in to your lodge and later depart for an afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru is among Kenya’s finest national parks. The park is gorgeous all year-round park, and boasts of rocky escarpments, patches of yellow-barked acacia forest and a waterfall. It is home to flamingos, both black and white rhinos; lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos and the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. The southern end of the lake is the best place to see wildlife. The forested area below the rhino’s cliff is a favorite lion-spotting point where lionesses love to sleep in the trees; and leopards frequent the same area. Afterwards, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and over night.
DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK TO LAKE NAIVASHA
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast at the lodge. Then check out, and have an optional morning game drive and bird watching around the Lake. Lake Nakuru is famous as an ornithological paradise where you will be able to see more than a million flamingoes and plenty of other birds species. Proceed to Naivasha to arrive at the hotel in time for lunch. After lunch, you will spend the rest of afternoon at leisure relaxing at the hotel or you can opt to visit the Lake for optional activities such as boat rides, crescent island and fishing at an extra cost. You can as well visit Hell’s Gate National Park, where you will have a chance to visit the geothermal power plant in Ol Karia and the hot springs, and maybe even take a dive in the Olkaria Geothermal Spa- a naturally heated pool. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
