7 DAYS 6 NIGHTS ITINERARY
Day 1: Nairobi- Samburu
Pick up from JKIA airport Nairobi. After the briefing with our staff, your safari adventure will begin as you depart by road driving across the equator to the Northern Hemisphere, and onwards to the semi-arid region of the Samburu Game Reserve. The name Samburu is of Maasai origin, a ‘samburu’ is a traditional leather bag the Maasai use for carrying honey and milk. This region is characterized by vast, open landscapes, dried riverbeds (depending on the season of the year) and its red volcanic soil. Dinner and overnight at Samburu
Day 2: Samburu
Have breakfast then head to Samburu national reserve for game drives. The reserve is rich in wildlife, with fame for abundance in rare northern species such as the Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred as Samburu Special). The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah (Kamunyak the Miracle Lioness that adapted the baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve). Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area.

Day 3: Samburu – Aberdare
Have breakfast, check out and head to Aberdare country club arriving in time for lunch. Check in then have lunch. Later proceed for afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at country club. Game animals easily seen in the park during game viewing include; African Elephant, black rhino, leopard, spotted hyena, olive baboon, black and white colobus monkey, sykes monkey, cape buffalo, warthog, common zebra (North Aberdare), bushbuck, reedbuck. Rare sightings include those of Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat, blue duiker. Dinner and overnight stay Aberdare.
Day 4: Aberdare- Nakuru
Have breakfast, check out and depart for Nakuru via scenic Nanyuki – Nyahururu then great riftvalley arriving at Nakuru national park, enroute game drive to the lodge/camp as both are inside the camp. Check in have lunch then afterwards proceed to the park for game drives/relax and enjoy the hotel facilities.
Lake Nakuru is best known for the Flamingoes, Rhinos, bird life and it’s in the great riftvalley. Dinner and overnight stay at Nakuru.
Day 5: Nakuru- Masai Mara
Have breakfast, check out and head to Maasai Mara arriving in the afternoon have lunch and Checks in. Later proceed to the park for afternoon game drives at 1600hrs to 1800hrs followed by dinner and overnight stay at the camp/lodge
Day 6: Masai Mara
Full day is spent exploring the park in search of the big five. The Mara offers wildlife in such a great variety and abundance that is truly difficult to believe. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here, you will easily see rhinos, leopard, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, zebra, warthog, Jackals, lions, many types of antelopes, crocodiles and giraffe. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra from Serengeti (Tanzania). The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve, Picnic lunch is served in the park. In the evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge
Day 7: Masai Mara-Nairobi
Early Morning game drives in the park followed by late breakfast at the lodge and depart to Nairobi. Lunch en-route at own cost, then proceeds to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.
What to carry
- A digital camera, its charger and a downloading cable, Torch, Tooth Paste, warm clothing for the night, pain killers, drinks, snacks and identification card /Passport gate entrance.
- Personal spending money for drinks and a gift for the Maasai cultural visit.
- Remember to carry a tip for the tour-guides
